Feb 19, 2010 - Cool, Roma! Push it up to 100 kmh!

RomanKorotin Says:

Feb 19, 2010 - 75h.p Suzuki engine is too weak for this application. To make speed 100km/h and more, it must be replaced by Honda D15 VTEC engine that produces 130 h.p from Honda Civic car. It will be realized in the next - "Industrial Sample" ACV model.

Feb 19, 2010 - @RomanKorotin 75 HP is more then enough for 100 km/h :), you need better duct, perhaps some stator inside to straighten the airflow, and some curve in front, cone in middle,... at my hovercraft only change of designe of fanguard net improved the push force for 5 kg, what is a lot at hovercrafts... what are the blades you are using? how many?

RomanKorotin Says:

Feb 20, 2010 - Yes, you are right. There are 3 ways how to increase the performance of the model 1) to make improvements, redesign and alignments mainly concerning to the duct and receiver 2) to put more powerful engine without any other exchanges to the design 3) to make improvements, redesign and alignments of the duct and receiver + to put more powerful engine :-)) I will go by the 3-d way.

Feb 20, 2010 - Wow! This looks great! Do you require any driver licence for this?

RomanKorotin Says:

Feb 20, 2010 - Nothing special required. In Canada and USA just regular pleasure boat operator license.

Feb 23, 2010 - Love it!!! I've seen September test of it and that video impressive too, it goes on any surface. Well done Roman. Do you have a website where I can find more details, price, when and where is your next test going to be, I would like to see it myself. Is it only test model you have or you have something to sell?

RomanKorotin Says:

Feb 23, 2010 - I'm going to arrange next tests in April, when open water will be available. Website will be ready soon. Details could be found at "more info".
